Join us as we gather in Manchester, New Hampshire for our 7-8 day adventure through the rural hills and mountains of New Hampshire, and then venture along the wild coast of Maine for a great taste of the sea, lighthouses and coastal sights of the rugged Atlantic Ocean.

We will start out from southern New Hampshire and wander through the wooded hills and small villages of this storied and brilliantly colored landscape for two full days, stopping at hidden valley sites, several of the best covered bridges and even a mapling works to sample the best of New England maple products and local handcrafts. We will venture across the White Mountains, and then head east into a very quiet and remote part of Maine to enjoy the lakes district of this very fluid state.

Then we head south to the coast of Maine and visit a series of small coastal villages and the best lighthouses that Maine has to offer. These historic landmarks are remarkable in their stoic imagery, restless seas and widely varying weather. As we have shown in our accompanying gallery, brilliant sunshine is just one of the many moods that these icons can evoke from the captivating and emotional weather and settings that they provide.
